This will be much shorter since I was just in Seattle running errands all day. But I'm still counting it as part of the vacation anyway, and I'm just tacking it onto the end of the New York section.
I LOVE that I had New York as a sort of pre-trip to the longer part of my trip. I was able to try some clothing and shoe options out. I learned that the sunblock option that I had there was a hot mess. I could make some purchases in New York and then leave them at home on my way through. It worked out great.
I also used this time in Seattle to arrange the return of several hundred dollars worth of clothing from Amazon that was still at my house from finding good clothing options for the trip. Shout out to my sister, Leanne, who helped me get them all into the car.
This is about half of them. I made her pause and stand there holding them so I could add her to the blog.
Then, I took my sweet time all through the evening making a list, gathering everything I need, and putting it into a suitcase. In honor of New York, I finished packing with only enough time to take about a 45-minute nap before heading to the airport. And suddenly, the real sabbatical had begun!
